WELCOME TO SHADOW PSYCHOTHERAPY
We are a private integrative psychotherapy practise and understand that finding a therapist can feel daunting. We offer a safe space, where we can work together to explore life’s difficulties with no judgement , but a deep level of understanding and empathy.


Mental health is becoming less of a taboo subject but we believe everyone should be talking about it more, we exercise our bodies to keep healthy but what about our minds? Shadow Psychotherapy provides a space which is non- judgmental and confidential to share how you are feeling and what is going on for you.
The reason we are called Shadow Psychotherapy is that we believe as much as we try to repress difficult memories that have happened in our life consciously or unconsciously, they follow us around , much like a shadow. They can present themselves in difficult ways to get our attention, such as anxiety.
If we think of our shadows consisting of the pain, doubts, sorrows, fears, regrets, shames, violence, resentment that are formed by our life experiences, it sounds rather heavy. How would it sound if we could start shining a light on those parts, get to know them at your pace, safely, not having to use the energy to ignore them any longer but to lean into them. Your shadow is still there, but it is now a friend and feels a little lighter.
